Sergio Mujica started out as ISO Secretary-General in 2017. ISO is a leading international organization in standardization with a membership of about 170 national standards bodies. ISO standards support global trade, drive inclusive and equitable economic growth, advance innovation and promote health and safety to achieve a sustainable future. Under Sergio’s leadership, ISO approved a new Strategy 2030, which is fully aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, with a vision of “making lives easier, safer and better”.

Combining his experience as Deputy Secretary-General at the World Customs Organization in Brussels from 2010 to 2017 and several leadership positions in the government of Chile, Sergio has unique global perspectives of international trade and sustainability. He is a tireless advocate for International Standards as ways of reducing barriers and fully realizing the role of international trade in growing economies.

 Sergio is fully committed to integrity, transparency and the highest ethics across every part of ISO, as well as to gender equality. As an International Gender Champion, he is a member of a leadership network that brings together female and male decision-makers determined to break down gender barriers and make gender equality a working reality in their spheres of influence.

Wei Siang is the Director for Decarbonisation and Net-Zero Pathways in the Maritime Decarbonisation Division at the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). He oversees MPA’s efforts to drive the decarbonisation of international shipping, through the adoption of low- and zero emission fuels and energy efficiency measures, and the development of international decarbonisation partnerships, such as Green and Digital Shipping Corridors.

Lawrence is the Global Co-Head of Dentons' International Arbitration practice and a senior partner in Dentons Rodyk’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group. His particular areas of expertise include international trade and commodities, maritime and aviation, banking and financial services, construction onshore and offshore, M&A, joint ventures, and insurance.

Lawrence acts regularly as lead counsel in the Singapore courts, and in other alternative forms of dispute resolution. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators, and is appointed regularly as an arbitrator in international disputes, under the rules of international arbitration institutions like the AIAC, HKIAC, ICC, KCAB SCMA, SHIAC, SIAC, and THAC. Lawrence sits on the Board of Directors of the SCMA. He is also a Senior Accredited Specialist in Maritime and Shipping Law by the Singapore Academy of Law’s Specialist Accreditation Scheme

Eng Dih was appointed Chief Executive, Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore from 5 September 2022. Prior to this, he was Deputy Secretary (Policy) in the Ministry of Defence.

Eng Dih has served in various government agencies in the areas of Policy and Planning, Manpower, Strategy, Technology, Energy, Climate Change, Enterprise Services and International Trade. He was Special Assistant to then-Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean from 2016 to 2018. He is a volunteer with SAFRA, an association looking after the needs of national servicemen. He took up the Trade Development Board Scholarship in 1999 and obtained a Master’s in Chemical Engineering with a Year Abroad (First Class) from Imperial College London.

He was awarded the Fulbright Scholarship in 2012 and graduated with a Master in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. Mr Teo attended the Eisenhower Fellowships Global Program in 2022. For his contributions to Public Service, Eng Dih was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Silver) in 2021.

Dr. Noel Hacegaba is the Chief Operating Officer of the Port of Long Beach, North America’s second-busiest container port.  He is responsible for managing the Port’s day-to-day operations, including commercial services, finance & administration, engineering services, planning & environmental affairs and strategic advocacy. 

In recent years, Dr. Hacegaba led the Port’s response to the global supply chain disruptions, directing the Business Recovery Taskforce and coordinating with industry, labor and government partners to keep cargo moving.

Dr. Hacegaba is also leading the development of the Port’s Supply Chain Information Highway to facilitate data sharing and enable end-to-end visibility across the supply chain.  

Prior to joining the Port, he managed a $200 million portfolio for a Fortune 500 company. In total, he has more than 26 years of public and private sector experience spanning a variety of industries. 

Dr. Hacegaba received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Southern California and earned his doctorate from the University of La Verne.  He is a Certified Port Executive and Port Professional Executive and serves on various industry and policy Boards, including IANA and CAGTC.

Shi Yan is Registrar of the Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration (SCMA) and led the secretariat’s efforts in revising the SCMA Arbitration (3rd ed.) rules. Prior to the SCMA, Shi Yan was an Aviation Disputes lawyer, managed a mental health startup, and counsel of a listed medical company. Shi Yan is qualified as an advocate and solicitor in Singapore and admitted to the Australian legal profession.

Andrew Hoare is the Head of Fortescue Marine Systems and Green Shipping at Fortescue (ASX: FMG). Fortescue is an integrated green technology, energy, and metals company, recognised for its culture, innovation; and industry leading development of infrastructure, mining assets and green energy initiatives.

Andrew has 30 years’ experience in the maritime and energy sectors holding leadership positions at BW including CCO of BW LPG, COO of Navig8 Group and various senior positions at Pacific Carriers and Clarksons.

Andrew holds a Master of Arts (Honors) in Management with International Relations from the University of St Andrews, Scotland and a Master of Business Administration from Hult Ashridge, UK. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers; an accredited CEDR meditator and sits on the Board of the Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration (SCMA).

John Martin began his career in London in 1989 with Richards Hogg Lindley Average Adjusters. Over 35 years, he has worked almost exclusively in Asia including Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan and now Singapore.

In 2003, he joined Gard Hong Kong, and established the Gard Singapore office in 2014. Gard has licensed P&I and H&M Branches in Singapore which play a pivotal role in Gard’s operations across Southeast Asia and beyond, encompassing P&I, Marine, Offshore and Renewables product lines.

Adam joined the company in 2002 and during his first decade at MSI helped to develop and extended MSI’s valuations methodology and capability, providing certificated spot and forecast values, earnings and operating costs for merchant and offshore shipping.

In addition, Adam remains actively involved in the fleet supply components of MSI’s tanker, containership and bulker forecasting services. Besides, he has been retained as an expert witness (in both the UK and the USA) on a number of valuation, value and cash flow cases across tanker, dry bulk, containership and offshore sectors for Shipyards, Owners, Charterers and Financiers.

Xi An is a Senior Solicit or in NorthStandard’s FD&D team. She is dual-qualified in Singapore and England & Wales. She graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2012 and spent 8 years in practice, working on a range of commercial and shipping disputes in both Singapore and English law firms. She joined the Club in December 2019 and now works closely with both ship-owning and charterer members in Asia-pacific and Nordics/EU sectors. She is a member of the Club’s Decarbonisation expertise group.

Dedi specializes in shipping and international trade litigation. He covers the whole spectrum of “dry” and “wet” shipping work, which increasingly includes supporting offshore energy work. Dedi also handles various disputes involving fraud, breaches of fiduciary duties, dishonest assistance and conspiracy.

Dedi is an Accredited Specialist in Maritime and Shipping Law by the Singapore Academy of Law’s Specialist Accreditation Scheme. He teaches the Shipping Disputes course at the Singapore Shipping Association and sits on the Advisory Board of the Centre for Maritime Law at the National University of Singapore.

A Marine Engineer since 1981, Sanjay has served aboard merchant vessels for more than 14 years. During this time, he sailed with Shipping Corporation of India, V-Ships, and Maersk Singapore. From 1995 to 1999, he worked for Lloyds Register as a ship and industrial surveyor. Sanjay joined Wärtsilä in 1999, and has worked in India, Finland, and Singapore since 2009. He held various positions within Wärtsilä, including technical sales, business development, and management.

He is currently the Director of Decarbonisation Solutions at Wärtsilä Singapore. Focusing on energy efficiency and sustainable fuels, he develops sustainable shipping solutions. He plays a crucial role in leading the shipping industry toward environmentally friendly practices as Director of Decarbonisation Solutions. He also develops standards for alternative fuels. Under the Singapore Standards Council, he works on bunkering standards for LNG and ammonia.
